The En Pointe Patrons initiative began in Auckland in 2020, with the aim of supporting projects that the Royal New Zealand Ballet would not otherwise be able to undertake.

Each donor gifts $2,000 annually, with half of the donation going to the RNZB and half invested in the Ballet Foundation’s sustainable fund.

The projects selected are designed to enhance the skills of the company’s dancers, choreographers and designers; take ballet to the wider community through schools and access programmes; and help in getting the RNZB onto the international stage.
