Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park Fundraiser
In late-March, supporters of the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation and lovers of contemporary art from across New Zealand visited Gibbs Farm. It was a rare opportunity to visit one of the world’s great sculpture parks, and at the same time to support ballet in New Zealand.
Our guests freely roamed the Kaipara Harbour hills on a beautiful sunny and blue-sky day, enjoying the collection of large-scale and breath-taking site-specific sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists. The Farm’s wonderful collection of exotic animals – including giraffes, alpacas, emus, and water buffaloes – also wow-ed people!
Gibbs Farm opens for only a few days each year, to benefit artists, educational institutions, charities, and the public. We were delighted the Farm’s trustees agreed our Foundation would be one of those beneficiaries in 2024. The event raised around $45,000, which significantly boosted the Foundation’s sustainable fund.
