Madam Woo Event

The RNZB is coming to Dunedin for The Nutcracker!

Trustee Victoria Muir from the Ballet Foundation, sister organisation to the RNZB, is hosting a fundraising dinner at Madam Woo. Patricia Barker, Artistic Director, will attend on the night to talk to the audience about our plans at the Ballet.

Madam Woo fundraiser – Loughlan Prior and Jane Meares

Dunedin-born dancer Olivia Moore and RNZB Choreographer in Residence Loughlan Prior will also join us. Olivia is the youngest dancer currently working with the company, and she looks forward to meeting supporters from her home town.

We have just announced that Loughlan will be creating his first full-length ballet with the RNZB next Christmas. Hansel & Gretel will bring together many of New Zealand’s creative talents to tell a timeless tale for audiences young and old. Both will be available to tell you about their work at the RNZB and answer any questions that you might have (so long as they’re not too curly!).

Tickets are $100 and include a glass of Nautilus bubbles and nibbles on arrival, followed by a two-course dinner with matching wine.

A Successful Event

This event sold out and we were so pleased to meet local supporters. We also had one generous anonymous donor pledge $10,000 as a Partner a Dancer donor for Olivia Moore with the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
