Welcoming Dame Trelise Cooper

The Ballet Foundation is thrilled to announce Dame Trelise Cooper as its new Ambassador.

For the past 30 years Dame Trelise has been creating gorgeous garments and covetable collections for fabulous and empowered women.  She is a true modern fashion icon and we are so excited to have her join the Ballet Foundation family.

Jane Meares, Chair of the Ballet Foundation, Dame Trelise Cooper, Ballet Foundation Ambassador, and Nelson Mayor Rachel Reese.

Trelise joined The Ballet Foundation and the Royal New Zealand Ballet at the Suter Gallery in Nelson to celebrate the launch of RNZB’s Tutus on Tour. Guests enjoyed local wines and canapes while meeting RNZB dancers and Artistic Director, Patricia Barker.

On the night Trelise spoke of a very special fundraising item – a unique Tulle skirt – Tullese En Pointe Skirt – which has been created to raise funds for the Foundation.  Skirts will be available to purchase at selected Foundation events and via the Trelise Cooper online store.
